Blackboard

Bb

Information for staff about activities in committees, minutes, plus forms and handbooks, can be found in the Blackboard online learning environment, which is used as an intranet alternative.

All staff are automatically entered to the Blackboard system. There is a "course" there called Math_Admin — this is a repository of documents for operational uses in the management of the department. If you cannot see this "course" when you log in to Blackboard, please contact the Personnel Coordinator (see side bar for contact details) who will add you to the course and necessary groups (academic staff, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, or support staff).

Please log in to Blackboard often, to see Announcements; the following content is maintained in the Math_Admin course:

  • Announcements
  • Information about support staff
  • All forms (expenses, travel, leave of absence, academic visitors, etc.)
  • Committe information, minutes and online discussions
  • Meetings schedules
  • Guides and handbooks
  • Teaching information, including examinations, handbooks, regulations
  • Information for post-graduates, including forms, progress procedures, etc.
  • Online discussion forum, and various other tools
