Universal deformation rings and subgroups of GL_n

ABSTRACT
A continuous representation of a sufficiently nice profinite group in to GL_n of a finite field has a universal deformation by a theorem of Mazur; I will discuss the inverse problem of realizing rings as universal deformation rings of residual representations of profinite groups.
