Research Interests

My core research uses ideas from information theory to prove probabilistic limit theorems. For example, we can view the Central Limit Theorem as a maximum entropy result, as an analogue of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. I have also written papers concerning behaviour of the Poincare constant, match lengths, quantum data compression and the entropy power inequality.
