Research Interests

My research interests lie primarily in statistical theory and methodology for nonparametric and high dimensional problems. In particular, I have worked on, or am working on, nonparametric multi-dimensional density estimation, regularised estimation of high dimensional covariance matrices, high dimensional variable selection, model selection for sieve-based estimators, and nonparametric methodologies for functional data. My work is motivated by problems arising in the physical and natural sciences and in economics.
