Research Interests

Biological systems manage their complexity and preserve robust functionality in remarkable ways. This is particularly impressive at the subcellular level, where function is achieved and regulated despite stochastic effects that dominate at this level. To gain deeper insight into this assertion it is important to examine both specific model systems and generic models of biological systems and processes, including their organisational principles, structure, dynamics and function.
