Mathematical Physics Group
Mathematical physics is an inter-disciplinary group calling on members from applied mathematics, pure mathematics and theoretical physics.
The main feature of the group is the weekly seminar which brings the members together with a local or external speaker to examine research in areas such as quantum chaos, materials science, random matrix theory and connections with number theory.
Mathematical physics has strong links with other Bristol groups at the interface of mathematics and physics, including Quantum Information, Fluid Dynamics, Centre for Environmental and Geophysical Flows, Applied Nonlinear Mathematics and the Laboratory for Advanced Computation.
