- Prerequisites: Normally language ot at least 50 and mathematics marks of at least 70, obtained in June of the second year.
General Description of the Unit
The year abroad is spent at an approved European University, attending teaching and assessment for approved units, of which at least 2/3 is mathematical. Relation to Other Units
The year abroad for the G101 BSc programme, MATH20003 is similar, but at Level I/5 (but still taken in the third year of study).
Assessment Methods
Students must attend all assessment offered at the foreign university. The departmental Euro committee may also require students to submit written course summaries for assessment by the beginning of September. It will then assign marks on the Bristol scale based on the evidence available to it. Further information is in the guidelines (see above).
Award of Credit Points
Credit points will be awarded if the unit is passed, that is, a mark of at least 40 is assigned.
